As the host of the 43rd General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-43), which is being held from 20 to 25 November 2022, Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei HENG SAMRIN, President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia and President of the 43rd ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on the night of 20 November 2022 chaired the AIPA Executive Committee Meeting at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel and Residence.
AIPA delegates present at the Meeting were H.E. Mr. Pehin Dato Abdul Rahman Taib, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Brunei Darussalam, H.E. Dr. Fadli Zon, Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee of the Republic of Indonesia, and H.E. Mr. Putu Supadma Rudana, Member of House of Representatives and Vice-Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee of Indonesia, HE Dr. Saysomphone Phomvihane, President of the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, H.E. Mr. Raymond Democrito Cañete Mendoza, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of the Philippines, H.E. Mr. TAN Chuan-Ji, Speaker of the House of Representative of Singapore, H.E. Mr. Chuan LEEKPAI, President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Thailand, H.E. Mr. VUONG DINH HUE, President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Viet Nam, along with the Cambodian delegation led by H.E. Kittisethabindit Cheam Yeap, First Vice-President of the National Assembly of Cambodia.
At the beginning of the Meeting, AIPA-43 President Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei HENG SAMRIN announced the appointment of H.E. Mr. Chuan LEEPAI, President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Thailand, as Vice-Chair of the Meeting to discuss and approve the Programme of Activities of the 43rd General Assembly as follow:

2-Agenda of the Meeting of the 6 Committees of the 43rd AIPA as follows:
The Meeting of the Committee of Women Parliamentarians of AIPA;
The Meeting of AIPA Young Parliamentarians;
The Meeting of the Committee on Political Matters;
The Meeting of the Committee on Economic Matters;
The Meeting of the Committee on Social Matters;
The Meeting of the Committee on Organizational Matters;
The Meeting of Committee on Dialogue with Observer Parliaments;
AIPA-ASEAN Hearing;
The Meeting of the Committee on Joint Communiqué.
3-Approval of the Date and Venue for the 44th AIPA General Assembly.
The Meeting of the AIPA Executive Committee also approved the accreditation of the House of the Representatives of Nepal, the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the House of the Representatives of the United States of America as AIPA Observers during the 43rd AIPA General Assembly.
As for the emergency agenda item proposed by Indonesia on the implementation of the ASEAN Five-Point Plan for Myanmar, the AIPA Executive Committee has decided to entrust the Committee on Political Matters with discussing at its Meeting to be held on 22 November 2022.
It is emphasized that the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) represents the voices of ASEAN peoples in promoting parliamentary mechanisms under broader vision and closer cooperation to address common challenges facing the region and beyond in the interests of regional and global security and sustainable stability.
AIPA consists of Member Parliaments from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam.
